Their friend was kidnapped. Can they save him, or will their own misery prevent them from doing so?

So it has been said before that the sequel to The Warriors is underway. In fact, I've been working on it for about, what, two years? It's coming to an end, and soon I will be in the process of submitting it to the publishing press.

So what is this upcoming, hopefully to be fantasy novel? For starters, I mentioned it's the sequel to The Warriors: The Beginning, a fantasy novel of eight teenagers whose lives are interrupted in order to rise up against the Emperor of Tophet and wage war with him to prevent the enslavement of all human life, so that he can become god of the world.

The second novel in the works is called, The Warriors: The Eternal Storm. The Eternal Storm begins with the abduction of one of the Warriors, and soon after the other Warriors are confronted with bad situations left and right which keep them from busting directly into Tophet to save their friend.

As the story progresses, they find that their very trials may be too much for them to bear, and they soon begin to lose hope. When a massive creature is unleashed from Tophet, attacking the citizens of San Francisco, the Warriors will have to pull forth all of their strength and courage to rise up against it, or die in the very process, while being unable to save humanity.

And no, this isn't my pitch or anything. I'll be thinking of a better pitch than this once the novel is finished. But you have an idea of what the book could be about. I may post some sample chapters here sometime.

But it's a good feeling knowing that the second novel won't take me ten years to write this time. :)
